Merry Christmas, all!
I had a nice Christmas present today as I saw my brother, and he commented on the fact that I "felt bigger." Immediately following this, his wife turned and said, "Yeah, you look bigger."
Shizam!
After eating a lot today, I took a peak at the scale. I was mostly unclothed, and the scale hit 165. I'm aware that that is with a full belly, but it is seventeen pounds more than where I started. If you think about it, it's a half a pound a day. Obviously, it will drop off a bit, but I'm happy about it.
My workout was pretty tough today. It was an extra set of everything that I've been doing. It took me over a half an hour, which was hard to swallow, but I did high quality reps, and I feel good.
I'm proud to say that I am putting on weight, and the compliments that I have received have been the motivation that I need to continue.

Day Twenty Seven
Twenty-seven days in, wow!
My weight has been flustering lately, and I really need to step up the diet. I am eating as much as I can, but the body can only take so much. I have upped the protein levels, though.
It's good to be one third of the way through, and I'm hoping that my progress increases as time goes on. I'm happy with the ten pounds that I've gained, but I am stuck there. I need to break through this plateau.
My workouts seem easier, as well. I can do more reps, and it is not as difficult. I can resume my normal activities immediately after finishing, which I could do before.
I was out of town the last few days, and the ladies that I saw there commented on my more muscular physique. Those types of results definitely give me the motivation to keep going!

Day Twenty-Two
My mother told me that I look like I'm gaining weight. Yes!
Yesterday's workout was a good one, although I'm aware that I am resting far too much. The workouts take me about twenty-five minutes, and I need to get them down to about fifteen. However, I really enjoy them when I take my time (I guess that would be a sign that I need to pick it up).
I still need to up my diet as well, as my weight gaining has definitely slowed. I have gained about nine to ten pounds, but I'm stuck there. To break through this plateau, I am really going to need to eat a lot of food and up the protein. One way that I plan to do this is by consuming an additional protein shake every day. I've also been going through an insane amount of milk.
I go out of town for two days tomorrow, so I'll have to cram in the workout in the morning. The last time I did that, I threw up, so I may have to be careful.

Day Twenty
My body is definitely changing. My legs feel tighter, my chests feels stronger, and my arms feel bigger.
I've been eating a lot, but I could still up it a bit. That's my biggest struggle.
The workouts are getting easier, and my weight is increasing (although not as quickly as I'd like).
I am excited to see how my body is changing, and I'm confident than I'm going to look even better in a few weeks.
And to think... I haven't lifted a single weight.

Day Eighteen
Either I worked out very hard today, or the workout was very hard today. I'm not sure which. It was the same lesson as earlier this week, but my muscles were whining by the end. Part of it may be due to the fact that I was sore to begin with. However, I gritted my teeth and made it through.
I peeked at the scale this morning, and I have not gained as much weight as I thought that I had. This may be because it was at different time of day that I weighed myself, but I was a little disappointed. However, that will be my motivation to eat more.
It's nice to be home, and it will make it easier to get adequate rest and food. I expect to return to school in a month about ten pounds heavier.

Day Seventeen
I am very sore today. Very, very sore. My back, my chest, and my arms all burn. Even my legs a little bit today are sore.
However, I have to suck it up and do the workout again tomorrow. Not sure how, but I'll do it. I just have to keep reminding myself that I've gained ten pounds already, and if I stay on this pace, will achieve my goal of 30 pounds in three months.

Day Sixteen
Holy cow, I'm sixteen days in.
My current weight: 158 pounds, a ten pound gain. I'm well on my way!
Today, I started a brand new workout. Week three has all new exercises, and it is less aerobically difficult, but more difficult for my muscles. My chest should be nice and sore tomorrow. Although it is tough, I enjoy this part of the workout much more, and I can really feel my muscles getting worked. Sometimes I wonder how much I really get done in 20 minutes, but the mirror shows swelling when I am finished.
I head home after finals are over tomorrow, and I'll continue to the workout while I'm there. I'm looking forward to coming back to school in January twelve to fifteen pounds heavier.

Day Thirteen
Today ends week two, and I am so glad.
The first couple weeks of this workout are made to build a foundation, and I am glad that they are over. Next week, I receive a whole new set of exercises, and I am very excited about it.
I will confess that I looked in the mirror quite fondly today. I don't think that I've put on much weight, but I see more definition already. My goals for next week are to cut down the time of my workouts and to eat more in order to put on weight. I have also noticed that my recovery time is already drastically improving. This is exciting!

Day Twelve
Last night I caught up on my workouts, and I'm back on track now. My diet, though, is still behind schedule. I really need to work that up to about 3500 - 4000 calories a day. It's hard to find good food to do that, and sometimes, you just grow tired of eating all the time. I'll weigh in again on Sunday, but I'm not expecting much of a net change this week.

Day Eleven
This has been a bad week for my workout. Both my exercises and my diets have taken a hit because of the stress of the last week of school. Nothing new to report except a confession of keeping things going. I may have to make up some workouts later this week, but hopefully it doesn't come to that point.

Day Seven and Eight

Although I am only one week in, I believe that the hardest part is over. Those initial workouts are absolutely brutal, so I am glad to be on the opposite side of them. Yesterday, I weighed myself, but I have a feeling that the scale was inaccurate, because it said that I weight 156 lbs. That means I've put on six to eight pounds since I started. A weightlifter here in the dorm said that it is totally possible, but it is likely water weight. For now, I think that is okay.
Today, I started week two, and I add two new exercises. Everything went fine, except that I was almost completely unable to do the shoulder shrugs, because they require to hold up your own body weight while shrugging your shoulders. This put a lot of strain on my wrists, and I had a lot of trouble doing this. However, I couldn't help but marvel that my muscles looked bigger. Indeed, I am making progress already, and I'm looking forward to seeing more results. I have uploaded a picture to show me after eight days. Not much noticeable difference to most people, but I am starting to recognize some change.

Days Five and Six
I was surprised by the difficulty of my third workout. I assumed that my body had adjusted at this point, and it would recover faster. While my recovery time after the work was indeed much shorter, I still had trouble with the workout. Perhaps I got cocky and assumed that I could blow through it. Needless to say, I was humbled.
I'm having trouble with the diet - the plan calls for so much intake that I have to consciously tell myself to eat all the time. That is something that is giving me a hard time, but as my body adjusts, I will become hungrier.
I have not weighed myself since I began, and I am wondering if I have gained weight. Tomorrow, I will find out.
