Day One

I was so excited to get started today. Unfortunately, I had a stomachache all day, so I had to push the workout back to later in the day than I had hohped. However, I planned my evening around my first workout, which I knew would be killer. One thing that I did not attempt to do was go on the eating plan on Day One, because doing so would prevent me from working out at 100% when it came time to do so.

Around 8:00 this evening, I had my roommate create a "workout playlist" of music to play while working out, and I had him time my workout. I then listened to my pump up song, "Eye of the Tiger," and began the short but very painful first workout. Eight minutes in, I was exhausted. I will confess that I had trouble with the pull ups, as I had to be a little creative with the set up in my room, but my body was throbbing by the end, which is evidence that I gave it a good ride. It took a total of eighteen excruciating minutes.

One hour later, I was feeling fine, and I was hungry. I suppose now it's time to begin the somewhat enjoyable part of the program... eating everything in sight.
